Career goal: Becoming the best physician and plastic surgeon I can be

"We are a close-knit team, and we’re always there for each other."

What makes your LVHN training program different than other programs across the country?

In the plastic surgery residency program, we are a close knit-team, and we’re always there for each other inside and outside the operating room.

What has been the most unique part of your training experience so far?

Being given the responsibility and trust of my patients to not only provide care, but to be invited into their lives at some of their most vulnerable times has been the most unique part of my training.

What is one memory you have from your training so far that will stick with you for your career?

During one of my first call weekends as a resident, I assisted with a pediatric level 1 trauma, and the child did not survive. I will never forget the feeling that followed, and the drive I feel every day, to do everything imaginable to help those in need.

What is one piece of advice you would share with someone as they select a training program?

Follow your gut! You will be stressed and busy with residency, so loving the people around you and the place you will be for years can make all the difference.

What does it mean to be a resident at LVHN?

Being a resident at LVHN means being part of a loving and caring group that is always there for our friends, neighbors and community as a whole.
