Workplace Travel Physicals and Clinics

International travel health risks vary from country to country and change constantly. LVHN Occupational Medicine clinics offer travel services that use the most up-to-date information to prepare the international traveler and to help avoid travel-related health and safety problems.

Are you seeking medical services for non-work travel? Visit Keystone Travel Medicine.

Pre-trip health exams help promote a safe trip  particularly for long stays, remote destinations, or for individuals with active health problems or other special needs. It is recommended that the medical exam and consultation take place 4-6 weeks prior to travel.

In addition to the thorough physical exam, the traveler receives a pre-travel consultation with up-to-date country-specific health information as well as:

  • Risk identification
  • Prevention plan development including routine, recommended and required immunizations
  • Customized health counseling and referrals for services at home and abroad
  • Malaria prophylactic (prescription)
  • Jet lag prevention and remedy
  • Food and water precaution information
  • Altitude sickness information
  • Complimentary travel consultation with info from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other sources

As part of the exam and consultation, the LVHN provider will print a profile for the country and/or areas the traveler will be visiting. This extra service gives the traveler important information to have with them during their travels that can help make their trip a safe one.

Immunization

The most up-to-date listing of required and recommended immunizations appropriate for the current disease and risk climate of a particular country and/or areas of a country that will be visited is provided.
