Works directly with the EMS Operations Supervisor and Director Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Services to provide operational and clinical direction to all providers within the pre-hospital entities. With the guidance of the EMS Operations Supervisor, directly oversees on duty providers, functions as liaison to Quality and Education Councils and balances work hours between clinical and administrative duties.

Job Duties

• Represents the ambulance service while on duty at public events, service functions, expositions and provides direction to on duty providers in a leadership role.
• Balances work schedule half the time working clinically and half performing required administrative duties as assigned by EMS Operations Supervisor.
• Assists with oversight of operational expenses and development of annual operation budget in coordination with EMS Operation Supervisor and Director Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Services.
• Serves as a leadership liaison with the QA/QI and Education councils.
• Coordinates need with all local college EMS programs in an effort to provide the needed clinical skills education to fulfill program requirements.
• Coordinates with the Pre-hospital PCS and Medical Director with annual skills review program.
• Works directly with EMS Operations Supervisor to ensure emsCharts program is established to provide staff with time efficient charting but ensuring high quality documentation.
• Works directly with all equipment vendors to ensure proper preventative maintenance program is in place.
• Functions clinically as a pre-hospital in accordance to state protocols and as instructed by the Division Medical Director.

• High School Diploma/GED
• 5 years Pre-hospital experience as a paramedic, Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse on an ALS 911 ambulance.
• 1 year Experience in organizational leadership of an emergency medical services agency, including direct employee oversight and management.
• BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association Upon Hire
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - American Heart Association Upon Hire
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association Upon Hire
• EMSVO - Emergency Medical Service Vehicle Operator - Emergency Health Services Federation Upon Hire
• PHTLS - Prehospital Trauma Life Support - National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians within 1 Year
• PA EMT-P Paramedic - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire or
• DL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania

• Specialized Diploma Nationally Registered Paramedic or
• Bachelor’s Degree Nursing or health-care field and
• NIMS 100,200,700
• Paramedic - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians or
• Pre-Hospital RN - State of Pennsylvania

Lift over 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 140 lbs. Carry 80 lbs. short distances. Frequent standing/walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing and reaching overhead.
