Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Travis Green

Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, part of Jefferson Health, is excited to welcome pediatric nurse practitioner Travis Green, CRNP, with LVPG Pediatrics–Whitehall. Green brings a deeply personal and profoundly compassionate approach to patient care, shaped by his own family’s medical journey and a steadfast belief that healing works best as a team effort. After witnessing the lifesaving care his daughter received as an infant, Green felt called to enter the medical field and offer that same level of dedication to other children and their parents. Today, he empowers patients and families to take an active role in their treatment, fostering collaboration at every step.

Beyond his clinical work, Green is a committed community member – volunteering within his children’s school, supporting district initiatives by regularly attending school board meetings and lending a hand at health and food access programs, including Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Flu Shot Clinic and the local food pantry. When hes not caring for patients or serving his community, you’ll likely find him enjoying time with his family, exploring creative pursuits like writing and photography, or unwinding with a good book, music or a favorite movie.

Learn more about Travis Green below:

What inspired you to get into medicine?

I was inspired to go into health care after my daughter was born with a congenital birth defect. The care she received saved her life, and I wanted to be able to make that same kind of impact for others.

What's one thing you hope patients take away from their time with you?

I hope that they feel heard and listened to.

What is the best part of your job?

I love being able to see patients grow and thrive.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

I wanted to be a veterinarian, which does not feel far off. Not only am I still an animal lover, I love providing care to kids too.

What is one of the most rewarding things you do?

I like being able to help fix problems for people.

How do you fit in time for exercise or self-care?

Over lunch. I wish I was someone that wakes up early to exercise before work, but that will never be me. After work can be difficult with family obligations. Lunchtime works well for me.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy weightlifting, running and spending time with my family and dogs.

What’s one interesting fact about you that would surprise us?

People tend to be shocked that I have six kids.

If you have a pet, what kind is it and what’s his/her name? How long has your pet been part of your family?

I have three dogs. They are 4 years old and brothers named Gus, Hank and Ralph.

What is your go-to coffee shop order?

My go-to order is a venti iced caramel macchiato upside down with extra caramel and an order of bacon egg bites.
