Busy practice in the heart of the Lehigh Valley eventually expanding to five providers
A Lehigh Valley Physician Group family medicine practice on Airport Road in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, has completed renovations to substantially increase its number of exam rooms, providing for expected continued population growth in the area.
Chrysa Zalalas, practice director at LVPG Family Medicine–Airport Road, said the practice formerly shared space with an ExpressCARE walk-in center at 1791 Airport Road, with access primarily limited to three exam rooms.
The practice has moved to the second floor at the same address, but now has 12 exam rooms. Zalalas said the current medical staff of two physicians and one certified registered nurse practitioner will expand when another physician – Gilberto Izquierdo-Santiago, MD – joins the practice as expected in July 2023. At least one other provider is being sought in addition to Izquierdo-Santiago.
The current staff at LVPG Family Medicine–Airport Road includes Georgia Fliakos, DO, Chau Nguyen, DO, and Heather Kowalishen, CRNP.
“The Lehigh Valley continues to grow, and our practice is now in a position to better serve that population,” Zalalas says. “Having a primary care provider is essential to staying on the road to good health.”
