Hello future residents and family medicine colleagues! I am a native Floridian who grew up in Sarasota, FL the oldest of four girls. My path to medicine was not typical. I started with a GED, and upon the birth of my first son knew that I wanted to be a physician. The passion he brought into my life for medicine drove me to the University of South Florida for undergraduate training. During my time at the University of South Florida I had the pleasure working for state legislators and non-profits to bring health care to the uninsured children of Hillsborough County. This was an important part of my journey as I experienced the impact access to healthcare has on underserved populations. After matriculating into the first class of SELECT at the USF Morsani College of Medicine I completed my training at the University of Maryland where I served as Chief Resident. I hold my board certification in Family Medicine and rejoined my LVHN family in 2019 as an Assistant Professor. I am passionate about bringing equity to the care we deliver, serving the whole person throughout all phases of their health journey, and teaching learners of all levels. My husband and I are happily raising our three sons in South Whitehall. In our free time we enjoy day trips to museums, live music, and spending time with family. I look forward to meeting you, seeing you in our clinics, and caring with patients together in the hospital!
