Hello future family physician! I am from Bangalore, the "garden city," now a booming IT city in southern India.  I went to medical school there at M S Ramaiah Medical College and after marriage followed my husband to the U.S. After a brief stay around the lovely Rocky Mountains in Colorado, I moved to Lancaster, PA., for residency at Lancaster General Hospital’s family medicine residency program. During residency, my area of interest was global health, and I pursued this with rotations at Malawi and Guatemala, while continuing to lead the refugee clinic in Lancaster. My interest and love for teaching brought me to the LVHN Family Medicine Residency Program. I have since, completed my faculty development fellowship through White Memorial Family Medicine - Keck School of Medicine and also my master’s in public health: Global Health Leadership track, though USC’s Keck School of Medicine. Women’s health, maternal and child health, and community based participatory research are my areas of interest. I volunteer with HEAL trafficking network, our Street Medicine Clinic and lead the Reach out and Read Program at our health center. Outside work, I enjoy reading non-medical books, gardening, swimming, yoga, craftwork, painting, singing, and being outdoors with my 3 kids (two children and one puppy) and husband!
