Dr. Powers, a member of the Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Pocono Board of Directors, is Chair of the Executive Medical Leadership Committee of LVH–Pocono. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Lehigh Valley Health Network and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Prior to this, Dr. Powers was Chief of the Department of Orthopedics. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Powers completed his internship and orthopedic residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He served as administrative chief resident in orthopedic surgery at the medical school. He is an active member of his church and current church council President. He encourages physical activity and outdoor exercise for members of his community in Monroe County, where he has lived happily for over 30 years. As a former Little League baseball and softball coach, he is proud to have led the team to a district championship.
