Hello! My name is Crystal Walker, and I am the Residency and Fellowship Program Manager for the Department of Family Medicine Residency. In addition to managing the family medicine residency, I also manage our Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship and oversee operations for our entire education department. I was born in Allentown, Pa., at Lehigh Valley Hospital–17th Street. After graduating from Emmaus High School I attended Allentown Business School, where I received my associate degree in medical office assisting. When I joined the department in 1999, I started as a medical secretary at the front desk of Lehigh Valley Family Health Center (now Valley Health Partners Family Health Center) and since have worked in various positions within the residency. I have been happily filling the role of residency and fellowship program manager since 2009. I received my TAGME [Training Administrators in Graduate Medical Education] certification in 2015. This certification is to recognize training administrators who have achieved competence in all areas related to their profession. Obtaining this certification has been one of the highlights of my career! Some of my hobbies/interests outside of work include baking special cupcakes and decorating cakes, gardening, crafting/learning new things with my Cricut, boating in the summer and trips to Florida in the winter with my husband Keith and our two daughters, Mara and Evie.
