Dr. Stoeckle joined the LVHN faculty in 2018. Johnny is as passionate about caring for whole populations as he is about individuals. Originally from the Boston area, he moved to Philadelphia in 2007 where he worked in substance use research at the University of Pennsylvania prior to attending medical school at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. After training at Jefferson where he served as chief resident, he joined the Jefferson faculty as a population health research fellow, participating in multiple operational and quality committees, researching primary care quality implementation, and earning his graduate certificate in healthcare quality and safety. Through his work with the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus committee, he was appointed Medical Director for Integrated Behavioral Health, overseeing the rollout of this program across 37 practices. He is excited to be practicing and precepting at the Family Health Center, and to apply his quality and population health skills as Associate Director of Quality at the LVHN Physician Hospital Organization and in the department. At home, he enjoys being with his wife and daughter while staying active as a runner, gardener, skier, and rooting for Boston sports teams.
