Hello, I’m Joe Patruno and have been a proud member of the OB-GYN department and faculty for the past 20 years. I have played multiple roles in our department, including our chief of gynecology and also served for eight years as our program director. I am now our institution’s designated institutional official, where I oversee our 40 training programs and nearly 400 trainees. I am honored to be in this role and have the opportunity to positively influence the graduate educational mission at Jefferson-LVHN at a more global level.

Women’s health, education and creating positive and effective educational cultures are my passions. I enjoy working with residents and students in the clinical setting and especially in my chronic pelvic pain and vulvar disorders practice. My goal is to have you graduate with a superior knowledge of how to best manage these challenging conditions in both the ambulatory setting through unique care and procedures and surgically in the operating room.

Outside of the hospital, I enjoy spending time with my three children and wife Megan and taking advantage of all the Lehigh Valley has to offer in regard to activities, food and entertainment. I look forward to hopefully working with you in the future!
