I’m Ken Katz, and I graduated from Yale University and State University of New York at Stony Brook Medical School. Then, I completed a dual emergency medicine/internal medicine residency program at Christiana Care Health Systems in Newark, Del., and medical toxicology fellowship at Banner Health in Phoenix. I currently maintain board certification in all three specialties. I previously served as both medical toxicology fellowship director and medical director at UPMC/University of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Poison Center, respectively. I have conducted primary research and authored and co-authored many manuscripts, abstracts and textbook chapters in the fields of emergency medicine, critical care and medical toxicology. Additionally, I’ve presented at both national and international society meetings. I’m a member of the Journal of the American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT) research committee. I’m an editor for Journal of the American College of Emergency Physicians Open and I also review submissions to several scientific journals of multiple specialties. I’m the editor-in-chief for the ACMT Medical Toxicology Guide/App and oversee the development of this content by our LVHN residents, fellows and faculty. I’m also the vice chair of the LVHN Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
