Dr. Bhagat is a member of the Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Pocono Board of Directors. He is a practicing allergist-immunologist and a member of the LVH–Pocono medical staff since 1984. He is board certified in American Board of Allergy and Immunology (a conjoint subspecialty board of American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Pediatrics) and American Board of Pediatrics. He is a Diplomate and Fellow of American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. Since 1988 he has coordinated activities of various medical staff committees at LVH–Pocono such as the utilization Management Committee and Performance Improvement Committee. Since 2004, he has been coordinating the activity of the By-laws Committee of the medical staff. He was a member of the Medical Executive Committee of the Medical Staff in various capacities for 17 years. For 27 years, Dr. Bhagat served as a Medical Director of the Upward Bound Asthma Camp, a three-day, two-night camp experience for asthmatic children that provided fun-filled activities, and one-to-one and group asthma education classes to children. He is a member of the Rotary Club of the Smithfields since 2006.

Dr. Bhagat secured his medical degree from Mumbai University in India in 1975. Subsequently, he completed a three-year pediatric residency training at Brookdale Hospital, Brooklyn, NY, and a fellowship in allergy-immunology at National Jewish Health, Denver. Dr. Bhagat resides in Stroudsburg with his wife, Dr. Pragna Bhagat.
