Stacey Smith, MD
Vice Chair of Education

Hello, my name is Stacey Smith. I am Chief of Internal Medicine for Lehigh Valley Health Network. I also am the vice chair of education for the Department of Medicine, overseeing our educational programs in graduate medical education. I served as medical student clerkship director, associate program director for the internal medicine residency program, program director for the internal medicine residency program and program director for the transitional year program. I was born in upstate New York but have lived most of my life around the Lehigh Valley area. I completed my college education at University of Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State College of Medicine. I completed my residency training at LVHN and have stayed to make a difference in the community where I grew up. The biggest influences in my decision to build a career at LVHN include the health network’s commitment to education and the great people I get to work with in education, including Brian Costello, DO, Cheryl Bloomfield, MD, Gretchen Perilli, MD, Shelly Ketchens and Kristen Larimer. I spend most of my time with my family, my four children and my dog. I spend every weekend enjoying the outdoors.
