Tammy Torres, DNP, RN, joined Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) in 2023 as President of Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Hazleton. She is a member of the LVH–Hazleton Board of Trustees. She is responsible for the overall operations of the LVH–Hazleton hospital facilities, including the Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton, the Health Center at Mountain Top and Station Circle (Humboldt). She collaborates with leadership at LVHN and its other Northwest Region Hospitals, namely LVH–Schuylkill and LVH–Carbon.

Prior to coming to LVH–Hazleton, Ms. Torres served as Corporate Administration Consultant at Crozer-Chester Health Network/Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pa., where her project assignments were focused on increasing revenue and efficiency in areas including emergency room throughput, operating room first case starts and length of stay and utilization.

Ms. Torres served as Chief Executive Officer of Salem Medical Center, Salem, NJ, from 2017-2022 where she was responsible for providing leadership for all aspects of the hospital’s operations with emphasis on long-term goals, growth, profit and return on investment. Her other past leadership roles included Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer at both Community Health Care Systems Division III-The Memorial Hospital of Salem County, Salem County, NJ, and Community Health Care Systems Division III Brandywine Hospital, Coatesville, Pa. She also served in senior leadership roles at Cape Regional Medical Center, Cape May Court House, NJ, Tenet Healthcare-PA Region and Tenet Healthcare-Graduate Hospital, Philadelphia.

Ms. Torres is a registered nurse who received her Bachelor of Science from Long Island University, Brooklyn, NY. She went on to successfully earn her Master’s in Nursing from Southern Connecticut State University, Hamden, Conn., and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Drexel University, Philadelphia.

She resides with her husband in Drums, Pa.
