The visit by MedEvac depends on the following:

  • The landing area is suitable for landing the helicopter.
  • You or your organization has permission from the owner of the property for the helicopter visit.
  • You or the organization will take appropriate action to secure the area for a helicopter landing, including personnel to keep people clear of the landing area, and removal or securing of loose objects that might be blown about by the rotorwash of the aircraft.
  • Availability is determined by transport mission requirements, weather conditions and aircraft maintenance factors that may create a delay or cancellation of the visit at the last minute.
