Description

This laboratory study is collecting tissue samples from patients with leukemia (or other blood disorders) who are planning to enroll in an ECOG leukemia treatment clinical trial. Blood and bone marrow samples will be collected from participant and sent, along with pictures of their chromosomes (karyotype), to central laboratories for review and study. Studying these samples from patients with cancer may help doctors learn more about diagnosing cancer and help to determine a patient's eligibility for a treatment clinical trial. It may also help the study of cancer in the future.

Inclusion Criteria

o Suspected leukemia or other blood/bone marrow disorder
o Considering enrollment in an ECOG treatment research study
