Smoking Cessation/ Recruitment Feasibility Study for Reducing Postpartum Smoking among Low-income and Hispanic Women (1_PRO00000417)

Description

English speaking participants will receive “Forever Free for Baby and Me” booklets. Spanish speaking participants will receive booklets entitled “Libres Para Siempre..por mi bebé y por mi”. Participants will also be completing a series of questionnaires about themselves, their household and smoking cessation during pregnancy. The questionnaires will take about 30 minutes to complete. Participants will receive the remaining booklets at their regularly scheduled prenatal visit. Follow-up visits will take place 1 month after the baby is born, 8 months after the baby is born, and 12 months after the baby is born.

Eligibility

Inclusion Criteria

o Must be greater than or equal to 18 years of age
o Must be able to speak and read English or Spanish
o Must smoke at least 1 cigarette per day on 2 or more days per week during the month prior to pregnancy state being known
