Why Lehigh Valley Institute for Surgical Excellence?
We’re the largest, most advanced robotics program in the region. Since launching in 2008, we’ve completed more than 45,000 robotic procedures using 18 robotic systems across our campuses. Some of our fleet of robotic technology includes the da Vinci 5 and da Vinci SP® (single port) robotic surgery system, offering our community the advantages of the latest technology for minimally invasive general, urologic, gynecologic and thoracic surgeries and more. Our nearly 100 highly skilled surgeons harness this sophisticated, computer-enhanced technology to deliver better care and improve lives. Here, robotics isn’t just a buzzword – it’s better medicine.
Join a team of clinicians including those who are known nationally as experts in multiple complex types of specialty and sub-specialty surgical care. You’ll also be part of a mature trauma system, working alongside in-house acute care surgeons at three of our sites. Our children’s hospital, Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, has a specialized team of board-certified pediatric surgeons with training in minimally invasive techniques. LVHN surgeons perform more than 85,000 surgeries every year across several programs including urology, otolaryngology, pediatric surgical specialties, retina, plastics and many more.
