Featured Position: Neurologist at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Hazleton

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a full-time neurologist to join the health network’s neurology division comprised of 21 board-certified neurologists. This is primarily an outpatient position based on the campus of Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Hazleton. An experienced neurologist with an interest in programmatic growth and outreach is preferred.

LVHN’s flagship hospital at Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Cedar Crest, Allentown, Pa., has 24-hour rapid response coverage and fellowship-trained neuro-interventional radiologists for patients with traumatic brain injury or suspected stroke.

LVHN–MedEvac provides air and ground critical care transport for trauma and other emergency patients. LVHN has the region’s only trauma neuroscience intensive care unit (TNICU). Our Comprehensive Stroke Center is the first in Pennsylvania to receive the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal, signifying the highest standard of care for stroke patients.

The Stroke Alert rapid response team ensures that potent new drugs used to treat stroke are administered within the critical three-hour window of the onset of symptoms and that measures of care meet or exceed standards.

The MI Alert program allows caregivers at LVH–Hazleton to quickly identify heart attack patients and transfer them to a partner hospital – such as LVH–Cedar Crest – with the resources to provide optimal treatment in 90 minutes or less.
