About
Philosophy of care
I treat every patient with the same compassion, respect and dedication I would give to a member of my own family. I strive to build strong, trusting relationships through clear and open communication. By creating a comfortable and supportive environment, I aim to ensure you feel heard, understood and actively involved in your care. I believe "health is wealth," and I am passionate about helping you achieve your goals.
Why I entered medicine
My journey into medicine was founded on a deep desire to help others. First, as an EMT, I experienced the spectrum of human need and the importance of access to care across all populations. Later, in stroke rehabilitation, I helped patients regain independence through therapy and perseverance. These experiences opened my eyes to the role medicine and the health care team play in transforming lives. Motivated by that, I pursued a career as a physician assistant to deepen my impact. While training, I explored various areas of medicine but found myself particularly drawn to cardiology, a field that allows for early identification of risk factors and offers opportunities to prevent illness. In cardiology, I have found a place I can empower patients to take charge of their health and live their fullest lives.
Community involvement
I’m passionate about giving back and staying connected to my community. I enjoy being an active member of my church and supporting local outreach efforts. I also supported my husband in starting a clean water foundation in Africa – an initiative close to our hearts that works to provide access to safe, sustainable water for underserved communities.
Personal interests
Outside of work, I try my best to remain active – whether it's sports, swimming or getting in a good Peloton ride. I played volleyball at the University of Pittsburgh and still love the energy and teamwork that sports bring into my life. These days my favorite "team" is at home – I'm immersed in the adventure of motherhood with my two young children and love quality time with family and friends.
