About
Philosophy of care
My philosophy of care is to provide patient centered care at a high level. I believe that adequate care includes both a knowledge of medicine as well as compassion for patients. I strive to listen to all patients’ concerns and provide an environment where patients can be active participants in their care. I believe this allows us to work in a team effort to identify a diagnosis and work through all treatment options available
Why I entered medicine
I was initially drawn to medicine from watching my mother throughout her career as a nurse. That experience along with my general interest in the sciences led me in the direction of medicine. I also experienced a sports injury in my high school years. Going through the process of having surgery and working towards recovery opened my eyes to the world of orthopedics. Since then, I knew I wanted to be a physician assistant in orthopedic surgery.
Community involvement
During my time at DeSales, I participated on the board of the DeSales Free Clinic. This clinic provided free health care to members of Allentown rescue mission. I also participate in multiple programs that provide shadowing opportunities to aspiring physicians/physician assistants.
Personal interests
In my free time I enjoy hiking, intramural sports, attending local sporting events, fishing, going to the gym and spending time with my dog
