About

Philosophy of care

My philosophy involves being patient-focused in providing care. It is important to keep you safe, healthy and well-informed about your condition and the care you are receiving. I also believe in teamwork (many people are involved in the care of each patient), and in flexibility that adapts to dynamic, rapidly changing situations.

Why I entered medicine

I chose medicine to help the people in my community and to challenge myself with learning about an ever-changing field of study.

Community involvement

In college I volunteered with Meals on Wheels and worked with services for the unhoused. Now that I will have more time as an attending, I would love to spend more time volunteering in these or similar services.

Personal interests

As a new homeowner I am interested in learning proper home maintenance and lawn care. I have also taken to reading for fun: roughly 35 books over the last two years.
