About
Philosophy of care
My philosophy centers on patient safety, vigilance and advocacy. As I provide evidence-based anesthesia care I maintain awareness, anticipate complications and communicate with the surgical team. I treat you with compassion and respect so you feel safe and supported.
Why I entered medicine
I became a nurse anesthetist because I enjoy the complexity of physiology, pharmacology and critical decision-making. My experience in critical care showed me how important vigilance and anticipation are in keeping patients safe. I was also drawn to the ability to advocate for patients during their vulnerable moments.
Community involvement
I enjoy mentoring student nurse anesthetists and have developed a welcome presentation for new cohorts. Sharing knowledge and supporting others strengthens our profession and ultimately benefits the community.
Personal interests
Outside of work, I enjoy activities that help me recharge and stay balanced. I like exercise and time outdoors, especially being in nature. I also value quality time with my family and exploring new foods and cuisine.
