About
Philosophy of care
As a board-certified anesthesiologist, I am skilled in keeping patients comfortable and safe during surgery and the perioperative period. I have experience performing ultrasound-guided regional nerve block techniques and neuraxial block procedures in both inpatient and ambulatory settings.
Why I entered medicine
I grew up being cared for by and taking care of my grandmother, a chronic pain patient. Throughout the progression of her disease, she used exercises, dietary changes, topical treatments, medications, injections and eventually surgery (for a spinal fracture). The procedure allowed her to return to her normally active and bright self after being temporarily bedridden due to pain.
Community involvement
I value education, charitable causes and community outreach. I am an active member of several medical and pain societies, both locally and nationally. Although I grew up in New York, my family has been deeply rooted in Allentown for more than 60 years and I am proud to serve this community.
Personal interests
I enjoy cooking family recipes, hiking at Trexler Nature Preserve, road trips to national parks and traveling abroad to learn more about different cultures. I enjoy science and nature documentaries, listening to mindfulness and economics podcasts and time with my family, my friends and my gray cat. As a former yoga teacher, I recognize the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection and practice yoga regularly. I am a classically trained trombonist and have performed with concert bands and ensembles.
