About

Philosophy of care

I view patient care through the lens of quality of life and decreasing symptom burden. My patients deserve care tailored to meet their current state of health. I work with them to meet their goals while serving as a facilitator.

Why I entered medicine

Growing up, I had a close relationship with all four grandparents. I lived through their chronic illness, terminal diagnosis and life-altering events throughout my adolescence. These experiences allowed me to meet many health care professionals who left a lasting impression. The desire that prevailed was to physically care for members of my community through all stages of health.

Community involvement

I am a volunteer tutor at ProJeCt of Easton. As a program, they “prepare people to succeed in work, school and life by providing them with support and instruction in the skills needed to break the cycle of poverty and achieve their goals.” I work alongside students in the computer lab, mentoring them through career pathways and digital literacy.

Personal interests

Outside work, I love a lazy day at home, reading with my husband and our two cats. I can be found enjoying a day at the beach or a yoga studio.
