LVHN places a strong emphasis on resident wellness and education, creating a supportive environment to ensure that residents thrive both personally and professionally. The program promotes a healthy work-life balance with many golden weekends and resident wellness days. In addition, our education curriculum is robust and includes hands-on clinical training and interactive didactic sessions.

What has been an extraordinary part of your training experience so far?

As a native of the Lehigh Valley, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to care for my community. Additionally, using Spanish daily to communicate with patients in their native language enriches my clinical experience. This unique aspect of my training not only enhances my professional growth but also deepens my connection with the diverse population I serve.

What is one memory you have from your training so far that will stick with you for your career?

I will always value the exceptional guidance and support I received during my first month on nights. This experience pushed me to think innovatively and significantly expanded my knowledge base. As a result, I feel more confident and prepared as I advance through my residency.

What is one piece of advice you would share with someone as they select a training program?

Choose the program that aligns best with your aspirations and values. You will be dedicating three transformative years to your development, so finding a place where you can thrive and grow into the best version of yourself will make all the difference in your journey.
