Summary

Assists in the implementation and program management of the Chest Pain Program. Develops, implements, and monitors treatment protocols and performance improvement activities. Oversees keeping up with programmatic, leading accrediting bodies, and regulatory standards. Works in conjunction with both the network and local leadership to facilitate programs.

Job Duties

  • Coordinates activities to support Chest Pain Accreditation.
  • Assumes responsibility of data collection, abstraction, and data management for the MI Alert program and Chest Pain Registry at facility.
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for chest pain patients (including STEMI, NSTEMI, and UA).
  • Delivers patient care based on the medical plan of treatment for chest pain protocols.
  • Develops and delivers effective presentations to work teams supporting chest pain program performance improvement activities.
  • Ensures compliance with post-survey activities including Evidence of Standards Compliance development, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Serves as the local subject matter expert during accreditation and survey cycles and educates staff.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a nursing or related field.
  • 5 years experience as a medical/surgical, emergency room, or cath lab nursing and
  • 2 years experience with a background in cardiology or critical care
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including data entry.
  • Intermediate data management skills.
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire and
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire and
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
