Spanning across eastern Pennsylvania, LVHN includes 13 hospital campuses, 28 health centers, numerous primary and specialty care physician practices, 20 ExpressCARE locations, pharmacy, imaging, home health, rehabilitation and lab services and preferred provider services through Valley Preferred.

Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH) is ranked 27th in the country for orthopedic care and among the top 10 hospitals in Pennsylvania by U.S. News & World Report. We are a community

In our effort to heal, comfort and care for the people of our community, LVHN’s family medicine clinicians understand the body at every stage and age and have the skills needed to provide the full spectrum of high-quality care for every generation. Our prevention-focused primary care includes well visits and physical exams, health maintenance and more.

When care requires advanced expertise, LVHN provides a range of specialty care, including trauma care for adults and children; burn care at the Regional Burn Center; kidney and pancreas transplants; perinatal/neonatal, heart and vascular, cancer, orthopedic, neurology and complex neurosurgery capabilities including national certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center; and robotic surgery in 10 specialties.

Physician in Chief: Ronald Freudenberger, MD

The award-winning physicians at Lehigh Valley Heart and Vascular Institute are all board-certified, many having served fellowships or received additional training with leading programs. Our expert clinicians utilize continuing medical education to further research and enhance collaboration, leading to better patient outcomes.  

LVHN was the region’s first to perform transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and is recognized as a center for performing complex mitral valve repair surgery. We lead the region in the lifesaving technology known as ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) and have specialized programs in women’s heart health, sports cardiology, advanced heart failure technologies, peripheral vascular and venous care and rhythm disturbance care. Cancer specialists at Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute are always evolving. At our many locations throughout the region, you’ll find advanced medical techniques and technologies and the latest clinical trials through our membership in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance. In addition, LVHN is among few health systems and cancer institutes in the United States selected to participate in Strata Precision Oncology network’s Strata Trial.

The Cancer Institute values collaboration among our clinicians, including our multidisciplinary care team. The teams include specialties such as surgical oncology, medical oncology and radiation oncology, all working together to address the complexities that come with a cancer diagnosis. A dedicated hub of collaboration, innovation, education and research, Lehigh Valley Fleming Neuroscience Institute is a premier destination for care of brain, spine and other neurological and neurosurgical disorders in the region.

The Neuroscience Institute offers a wide array of neurology and neurosurgical services. From comprehensive stroke treatment to programs for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer’s disease, we support our community with the latest treatments and clinical trials. Our surgeons have a depth and breadth of surgical knowledge that are unmatched in the area, with expertise in less-invasive techniques and robotic technology. At the Institute for Surgical Excellence, the community has a partner which sets the bar for surgical excellence.

We base our recommendations on the latest research and participate in promising clinical trials, which eligible patients can access. We have performed nearly 35,000 robotic surgery procedures since the program’s inception in 2008. Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute furthers LVHN’s mission to heal, comfort and care for our community. We are proudly ranked 27th in the nation for orthopedic care and remain the only hospital in the region nationally recognized for orthopedics, according to U.S. News & World Report.

We integrated more than 30 years’ experience and award-winning care under one team to provide the most comprehensive bone and joint care in the region. The Orthopedic Institute is proud to be a national destination for care of the professional athlete. The region’s first and most trusted children’s hospital, Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital provides services throughout the region to help kids be kids. We provide many specialty services in one location on the campus of Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Cedar Crest, including a Children’s ER, neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric intensive care unit, inpatient pediatric unit, Hecht Family Children’s Specialty Center, J.B. and Kathleen Reilly Children’s Surgery Center and the Children’s Cancer and Multipurpose Infusion Center.
