Summary

Plans, initiates, coordinates, and implements minimal risk studies and works in collaboration with other staff. Coordinates the regulatory management of assigned clinical trials. Processes and ships phlebotomy laboratory samples as per clinical trial requirements. Collects, records, and reports data for research studies as assigned.

Job Duties

  • Plans, implements, and conducts approved research studies and conducts and documents informed consent process for minimal risk studies.
  • Performs phlebotomy and processes, stores, and ships laboratory samples as required by the Clinical Research Trials.
  • Coordinates the regulatory management of assigned clinical trials by assisting with NORI/IRB submissions, maintenance, and regulatory and legal documents.
  • Coordinates and manages the patient assessments according to protocol standards.
  • Collects, records, and reports data for research studies, as assigned.
  • Maintains documentation for clinical research studies, working with the Principal Investigator and study team, and participates in monitor visits with sponsors and other related agencies to evaluate the accuracy and quality of the collected data.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or
  • 5 years of research experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a clinical environment.
  • Must be a self-motivator and organized to ensure timely implementation of research protocols and successful outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of clinical research terminology.
  • Knowledge and skill in therapeutic area and research.
  • CCRP-Cert Clinical Research Professional SCRA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire and
  • MLT - Medical Laboratory Technician AMT - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
