Summary

Provides leadership for all campaign, major gifts, and related development program priorities. Manage a portfolio of 100-150 donors with capacity to give $25,000 and above. Works directly with advancement services to identify and cultivate potential donors. Works with stewardship to develop and implement tactics to manage and steward major gifts. Serves as a member of the development team, participating and contributing to work processes and innovative strategies.

Job Duties

  • Performs duties of a principal gift fundraiser, including cultivating donor relationships, soliciting gifts, and ensuring stewardship. Develops strategies with an assigned specific service line physician-in-chief/Chairs to grow the pipeline and develop physician alignment within a culture of philanthropy.
  • Develops relationships with community members, donors, supporters, patients, and network colleagues.
  • Collaborates with fundraising teams to maximize opportunities and identify potential sources for funding.
  • Engages prospects and donors through education and cultivation and provides up-to-date network information for transparency.
  • Manages a portfolio of prospects and donors to maximize fundraising revenue.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years Fundraising in a health care environment. and
  • Previous experience as a major gift fundraiser.
  • Desire to work as a team member.
  • Knowledge and understanding of local hospital community issues.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a large, complex organization.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient in BlackBaud/Raiser's Edge software.
  • Superior analytic and strong intuitive skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
