Summary
The ALS Adjunct Instructor will assist with the instruction of EMS/Advanced Level Courses for students at the Emergency Medicine Institute. Programs include:
ATLS, ATCN, Paramedic, EMT, EMR,PHRN Programs, continuing education for EMS, ENPC, TNCC, TECC, TCCC, PEARS,etc.

Job Duties

  • Provide didactic education of assigned curriculum to students.
  • Provide psychomotor education of assigned curriculum to students.
  • Responsible for set up and clean up of psychomotor stations.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or
  • Technical School Diploma Paramedic Certificate or
  • Medical Degree or
  • Bachelor’s Degree Nursing
  • 2 years Teaching experience in EMS/advanced life support education. or
  • 2 years Experience in providing critical care services to patients
  • Current instructorship, strong knowledge base of EMS/advanced life support curriculums
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Imstructor - State of Pennsylvania or
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor - State of Pennsylvania or
  • NREMT AEMT Advanced - State of Pennsylvania or
  • NREMT-Paramedic-National Reg of EMT-Medic - State of Pennsylvania or
  • NREMT EMT-B Basic - State of Pennsylvania or
  • Pre-Hospital RN - State of Pennsylvania


Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a PA State EMS Methodology Course for EMS Educators


Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
