SummaryPerforms equipment distribution functions and inventory management for clinical equipment in clinical areas. Provides support services to meet patient environmental needs such as patient transport, stocking, and distribution, material transport, equipment, and supply maintenance. Delivers a high level of customer service and ensures the satisfaction of patients and staff and participates in providing and maintaining accurate information and inventory levels.
Job Duties
- Performs equipment functions such as receiving, counting, stocking, transporting, cleaning, and sanitizing medical equipment.
- Provides medical technologies and related services for the health care industry and patient support systems such as safe mobility and handling solutions.
- Offers a range of non-invasive therapeutic products for a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, medical equipment rentals, surgical products and information technology solutions.
- Completes work order requests for equipment repair and takes broken equipment to appropriate storage area.
- Ensures material removed from storage location is the correct item, correct unit of measure, and correct quantity.
- Verifies medical equipment requirements with the client and makes recommendations for the ‘best practice of care”.
- Takes excess oxygen tanks to appropriate storage areas and ensures oxygen tanks are in appropriate holders.
- Rounds on Nursing Units to maintain Par-Levels of equipment, i.e. Kangaroo, PCA pumps, etc
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED

- Ability to operate mechanical equipment.
- Demonstrates basic computer navigation skills, warehousing devices and equipment, hardware and software.
- Must exhibit excellent customer service, teamwork, good math skills, strong communication, and organization skills.
- Must demonstrate behaviors consistent with the values and mission.

- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Certification - State of Pennsylvania
Physical DemandsLift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
