Intensive Care Unit Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)

Position Overview

Our highly experienced clinicians deliver the most up-to-date, comprehensive care in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine and sleep medicine. Join our team of highly-collaborative, innovative critical care clinicians. The Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono ICU is a combined medical and surgical ICU with a total 24 beds.  Join us to experience exciting growth in our critical care division.

The Critical Care team at Lehigh Valley Hospital consists of two physicians and two APC providers and we are looking to add to this team.  In a critical care ICU at LVH-Pocono, you will experience: 

  • 12 shifts per month of coverage.
    • Typical shifts are 12 hours currently; however, the team works well together and has a lot of flexibility with the schedule and could consider 8- or 10-hour shifts.
    • Providers typically work 3 or 4 days consecutively.
  • Must be flexible for day vs night coverage.
    • Providers will work day shifts initially and work closely with the physicians for training.
    • Team works together to ensure even rotation of weekends and holidays.
    • Providers always can pick up additional shifts for moonlighting monies.
  • Call is taken by physicians only.
  • Providers will take part in procedures and should have familiarity but will also be trained by the Lehigh Valley Physician team. These procedures may include:
    • Central lines
    • Arterial lines
    • Dialysis Lines
    • Intubations

Qualifications

  • Must have at least one year of experience in an intensive care unit as a clinician
  • Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified 
  • A valid PA Medical License, or ability to obtain one, is required
