SummaryLeads the organization in envisioning, developing, and implementing innovative approaches to solving problems and transforming healthcare systems by utilizing techniques and methodologies based in disciplines such as Industrial and Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Sciences, Lean and Six Sigma, and Management Science to support decision making across the organization. Collaborates with senior leadership to develop strategic Network goals and initiatives that improve operations. Serves as a technical leader to the team.
Job Duties
- Acts as a key resource for the ongoing development and support of the department's core services including labor productivity, external benchmarking, and labor ratio targets for the organization.
- Develops, recommends, and implements innovative analytical solutions, based upon proven methodologies which support decision-making across the organization.
- Contributes to the department's development and operations.
- Mentors others by providing formal and informal education and training on topics such as productivity, benchmarking, simulation, and other relevant concepts.
- Provides complex analytical leadership and support to senior management and various project teams making critical strategic and operational decisions.
- Works directly with senior leadership to achieve Network goals and strategic objectives.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree Industrial and Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Information and Computer Sciences, Operations Management and Business Administration, or a related discipline. or
- 3 years Professional or related experience in improving operations and conducting complex, analytical studies.
- Analytical skills with strong knowledge of the most current methods in simulation, mathematical modeling and optimization, database principles, and data mining techniques
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Visio); has exposure to at least one computer simulation software (SIMUL8, Arena, FlexSim, Promodel); has exposure to at least one statistical analysis software (Minitab, SAS); has exposure to at least one computer programming language.
- Ability to identify key business issues and develop appropriate analyses and action plans for improving operational efficiency.
- Strong presentation skills on technical items.
Preferred Qualifications- Master’s Degree Industrial and Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Information & Computer Sciences, or Business Administration or related or commensurate experience.
- Knowledge of programming concepts and languages.
Physical DemandsLift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
