SummarySupervises patient and customer satisfaction, quality standards, performance improvement, write offs and denials, and productivity for the Pre-Certification department.
Job Duties
- Reviews monthly reports and resolves variances and reports on such to the Director/ Manager. Reviews denials and write offs monthly.
- Develops and implements protocols and operating policies that ensure seamless access.
- Displays emotional intelligence in all interactions.
- Ensures the delivery of quality by audits and established standard work processes and protocols for the team. Ensures compliance of registration, authorization and RQA workflows.
- Identifies and defines qualitative and quantitative production standards to ensure all patients are scheduled safely.
- Identifies and develops orientation program and ongoing yearly education for department.
- Informs Director of significant developments affecting production goals and budget goals; renders timely and accurate monthly reports.
- Monitors vacancy and turnover rates and scorecard, implementing unit programs to achieve minimal vacancies and reduce turnover.
- Oversees the operations issues for the integrated Pre-certification departments.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years in health or customer services environment with demonstrated track record of success in progressively responsible assignments and leadership positions and
- 1 year medical billing and coding, authorizations, and scheduling.
- Knowledge of scheduling and automated insurance verification software.
- Previous supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Associate’s Degree or
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1 year call center experience.
Physical DemandsLift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
