SummaryPerforms supply management functions and requisitions supplies within customer departments. Ensures that optimum levels of supplies and equipment are available to meet departmental needs while promoting product standardization.
Job Duties
- Maintains and manages all supplies (including implants, bone, tissue, and other requested items needed) by ordering, purchasing, unpacking, and stocking medical supplies. Confers with department/division to determine appropriate substitutes, if needed.
- Reviews scheduled surgical/clinical procedures to determine the availability of necessary equipment/supplies. Huddles with nursing management to review surgical cases to ensure physician requests are secured for surgical instruments and supplies.
- Acts as a liaison between supply chain, customers, and the supplier community.
- Utilizes all electronic tools available. Maintains accurate information within the enterprise resource planning system and uses available technology to its fullest potential.
- Monitors inventory levels daily; checks and removes expired products or products near expiration.
- Monitors consignment inventory, including all related files and documentation.
- Monitors and manages recall alerts.
- Performs analysis of supplies and equipment utilization for the purpose of standardization and cost effectiveness. Participates in standardization and/or cost reduction initiatives.
- Participates in annual physical inventory preparation and execution.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years in supply chain, materials management, procurement, inventory control, or healthcare
- Demonstrates knowledge of PCs, other related devices, and software.
Preferred Qualifications- Associate’s Degree or

- CMRP-Cert Materials & Resource Professional AHACC - State of Pennsylvania
