Frequently Asked Questions

You may receive a “server error” message after the MyLVHN app is updated. Updates happen occasionally and that may affect your ability to use the app.

If you receive a “server error” message while using the MyLVHN app, try these steps first:

  • Uninstall the MyLVHN app.
  • Turn off your mobile device.
  • Turn your mobile device back on.
  • Reinstall the MyLVHN app.

If those steps don’t resolve the “server error” issue, here are additional things to try:

  1. Uninstall MyLVHN app again
  • Uninstall the MyLVHN app again.
  • Wait a day, then reinstall the MyLVHN app.
  • Try using MyLVHN again.
  1. Install MyChart app
  • Install Epic’s MyChart app. (MyLVHN uses MyChart technology.)
  • Choose Lehigh Valley Health Network as your portal.
  • Log in using MyChart as your portal app.
  1. Check your mobile device’s security settings

If all above steps do not resolve, then check security settings or other device restrictions on your mobile device.

  • Go to Settings on your mobile device. (The icon used for Settings often looks like a gear.)
  • Scroll to your apps and select MyLVHN. Look over the settings, such as Notifications, Cellular Data and Background App Refresh and make sure they are enabled.
  • For further troubleshooting assistance, check with family, friends or your mobile carrier.

If you mistakenly replied “STOP” to a text message from MyLVHN, the patient portal automatically stops sending messages to you. You can restart text message reminders from MyLVHN by texting the word START to 78453. Learn more about setting your communications preferences here.

Your clinician may ask you to upload a document, photos or a video to help with a diagnosis or to make sure you are doing well.

  • The maximum number of attachments you can upload to MyLVHN is: 3
  • These are the types of images or documents you can upload to MyLVHN:
    • JPG
    • PNG
    • TIFF
    • BMP
    • TIF
    • PDF
    • JPEG
  • The maximum size for images or documents is: 10,240 KB.
  • These are the types of videos that you can upload to MyLVHN:
    • MOV
    • AVI
    • MPG
    • MP4
    • WMV
    • 3GP
  • The maximum size for videos is: 65536 KB.
