Celebrate Veterans Day 2025 with LVHN. Colleagues and community members are invited to honor veterans at our annual recognition ceremony across the region.

Selfless, brave, loyal – these are just a few words that describe the hearts of all veterans. As Veterans Day nears, may we be reminded of those who sacrifice greatly for our freedom and thank them for serving our country.

One way Lehigh Valley Health Network, part of Jefferson Health, honors veterans each year is through the Veterans Day Recognition Ceremony in collaboration with the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and Valley Health Partners Veteran Health Program.

The 13th annual ceremony will be held on Nov. 10 at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, Kasych Family Pavilion in Educational Conference Rooms 6-8 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Veterans and the community are invited to attend the event.

“Our hope is that veterans feel supported by their community and are equipped with resources that provide the care and connection they need.” - Alexander Alex, Lt. Col., U.S. Air Force, MSC (Ret.)

“This program is meant to go beyond saying ‘thank you’ to veterans for their service. Our hope is that veterans feel supported by their community and are equipped with resources that provide the care and connection they need,” says Alexander Alex, Lt. Col., U.S. Air Force, MSC (Ret.), and Senior Director of the Valley Health Partners Veteran Health Program.

This year’s keynote speaker is Baligh Yehia, MD, MPP, MSc, FACP, President, Jefferson Health, and Executive Vice President, Jefferson.

There will also be remarks by Alison Pickel, Senior Vice President of Member Relations for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Carol Michaels, Chief Transformation Officer of Valley Health Partners.

Veterans will receive a special gift at the Veterans Day ceremony and be formally recognized by U.S. Army retiree Marilyn Kelly-Cavotta, Special Advisor for Women & Minority Veterans, Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, and Chairperson of the Veterans & Military Council of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Veterans are encouraged to sit with their service branch at the event. Following the ceremony, there will be light refreshments and networking.

Register online for in-person attendance or join us on Facebook to watch the ceremony. All veterans who register will receive a gift at the event.
