Bethlehem Running Festival to host race preview event featuring course unveiling and group run

Calling all runners: Whether you already signed up for the Bethlehem Running Festival or you’re on the fence, you won’t want to miss the Bethlehem Running Festival course unveiling/group run event on Wednesday, June 14 at SteelStacks in Bethlehem. You do not need to be registered for the Bethlehem Running Festival to take part in the free event and race preview.

The Bethlehem Running Festival features a 5K and 10K on Saturday, Oct. 21. The Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute Half Marathon is Sunday, Oct. 22.

The event will kick off with pre-race stretching and yoga presented by Bethlehem Running Festival title sponsor Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). Then the 5K, 10K and Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute Half Marathon courses will be unveiled, and a 3-to-6-mile run will begin at 6:15 p.m.

“LVHN values our partnerships, especially those that make our community healthier,” says Jim Miller, President, Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg. “As the presenting partner of this event, we’re here to help you get in peak physical condition and help with  injury prevention or treatment as you train for the race.”

The Bethlehem Running Festival features a 5K and 10K on Saturday, Oct. 21. The Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute Half Marathon is Sunday, Oct. 22. All the courses start and finish at SteelStacks and will run over the bridges and historic streets of Bethlehem.

All runners participating in the October event will receive a Bethlehem Running Festival long-sleeve technical T-shirt, and finishers will be awarded a medal unique to each event. Those who run all three events will receive a discount on each race, and the medals from each event will connect to form a triple play medal.
