Carla grew up just outside of Syracuse, N.Y. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology and a minor in public health, followed by a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, both from University of New England in Maine. With a strong foundation in public health developed during her training, she is passionate about addressing social determinants of health on both individual and community levels. Her clinical interests include behavioral health, osteopathic principles and global health equity. Outside of medicine, she enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking, swimming and scuba diving.
