Giovanna Gallara, DO
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
Giovanna grew up in the quaint town of Long Valley, N.J., and is a graduate of Villanova University, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as a minor in Spanish studies. While at Villanova, Giovanna enjoyed captaining the tap dance team and playing the cello for the university orchestra. Before starting medical school, she worked as a medical assistant for two years at a large obstetrics and gynecology practice, where she gained not only clinical experience, but also a profound appreciation for all members of the medical team. She attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for her medical training and ultimately decided that family medicine was the right choice for her. Giovanna believes that the best medicine starts with an open, honest relationship, and she is there to listen to her patients with whatever concern they may have. Giovanna is also thrilled with the opportunity to care for entire families, spanning generations. Her professional interests include women’s health and obstetrics. In her free time, Giovanna enjoys spending time with her friends, family and bearded dragon. She also enjoys nature, particularly birdwatching, biking and geocaching. She is a huge New York Jets football fan, but now that she is living in Pennsylvania, she also roots for the Eagles. Giovanna is eager to join Lehigh Valley Health Network to continue her passion for family medicine and serving others.
