Endometrial Cancer (GOG #0258): A randomized phase III trial of cisplatin and tumor volume directed irradiation followed by carboplatin and paclitaxel versus carboplatin and paclitaxel for optimally debulked, advanced endometrial carcinoma (1_PRO00000718 - CIRB)

Description

This study is for patients with Stage III or Stage IVA endometrial cancer. Participants will be placed into one of two treatment regimens. Participants will need to complete quality-of-life questionnaires at the start of the study and then periodically throughout the course of the study. There will be six cycles. 21 days consist of a cycle. Participants will be followed every 3 months for 2 years; then every 6 months for 3 years; and then yearly thereafter.

Eligibility

Inclusion Criteria
o Must have a diagnosis of Stage III or IVA Endometrial Carcinoma
o Surgery must have included a hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, along with lymph nodes
o Adequate performance status
o Adequate organ function
o 18 years of age or older
