About

Philosophy of care

I have a passion for helping others achieve optimal health and wellness by providing evidence-based care with respect, dignity, compassion. I guide patients to healthy lifestyles and best health and weight management outcomes.

Why I entered medicine

I entered health care after experiencing the impact nurses had on my father during his battle with cancer. I became an oncology nurse to care for patients and families dealing with difficult diagnoses and challenging cancer treatments. After seeing the impact of disease on individuals and their loved ones, I developed a desire to promote wellness and healthy lifestyle habits with a goal of helping others reduce illness, minimize negative consequences of disease and achieve and maintain wellness.

Community involvement

I have been involved in cancer fundraising and awareness events and have served as a keynote speaker in support of cancer research. I coordinate the biannual blood drive within my community.

Personal interests

When not working, I enjoy time with my husband, daughter and two dogs. Leisurely strolls in nature, reading a good book, exercising, and cooking healthy meals are my favorite ways to practice personal wellness in support of my own physical, mental and emotional well-being.
