About

Philosophy of care

My goal is to take care of every patient as if they were in my own family. I provide the best care possible, making a positive impact with each encounter. I also make sure the patient and their family understand the treatment process so they are confident in the care they receive.

Why I entered medicine

I’ve wanted a career in medicine since elementary school; my mom was an emergency medicine RN. But it was not until I watched and helped her care for my aunt and grandmother as they lost their battles to cancer that my path became crystal clear. Even with the hardest outcomes, the value of being able to have an impact on patients' lives is beyond comparison.

Community involvement

To stay connected with my community, I do fundraisers, charity runs, walks, church bazaars, fairs and festivals. My family and I started a fundraiser shortly after losing my grandmother to pancreatic cancer. The Carol Long Memorial 5K ran 10 years and all proceeds went to the Medical Oncology Associates’ patient fund in Kingston, Pa.

Personal interests

I really love to be outdoors! Some of my favorite things include hiking, kayaking and walking my pups. I also cannot resist an event with live music and good food. Everything is better when I'm surrounded by family and friends!
