About

Philosophy of care

Emergency medicine allows me to be an advocate for patients during every interaction I have with them. We care for patients of all ages with medical, traumatic and psychiatric conditions, as well as for the underserved population, and help coordinate the next step in their care.

Why I entered medicine

My pre-hospital experiences as a paramedic and firefighter provoked my interest in emergency medicine. It taught the importance of patient stabilization and provided me with exposure to this field that I probably would not have had otherwise.

Community involvement

I am a pre-hospital physician with a local paramedic unit, and a firefighter with a local fire department. I also volunteer with the National Ski Patrol.

Personal interests

I am passionate about supporting emergency medical services. I also enjoy skiing, biking, running, gardening and kayaking.
