Philosophy of care

My philosophy is an individual, patient-centered approach to diagnosis and treatment. Everyone has a unique set of needs, difficulties, beliefs and preferences. Every plan of care must reflect these unique qualities, so every patient feels their care and treatment is complete, comfortable and addresses their concerns and needs.

Why I entered medicine

Growing up many of my family members, of all ages, struggled with hearing loss. I learned quickly how that not only affected them, but all those around them. I noted the communication and other difficulties associated with hearing loss and learned how to communicate with them. The experience sparked my desire to help others who experience and struggle with hearing loss.

Community involvement

I have traveled to such places as Guatemala and Navajo Reservations in Utah to test and treat those of all ages with hearing loss. Mission work fills a special place in my heart, and I am happy to serve by providing care to those lacking access to audiology services.

Personal interests

I recently became a mom and enjoy time at home with my baby and husband. As a family my father, my husband and I run a trivia night at our local volunteer fire company to help raise funds. We love attending local events and supporting local businesses.
