About

Philosophy of care

Health is not a quick fix, but a lifelong journey of nourishment, empowerment and transformation. My approach is rooted in compassionate listening and collaboration. I meet patients where they are and help them design realistic wellness plans. My goal is to help you reconnect with your body’s natural wisdom, build confidence in your choices and find joy in progress rather than perfection.

Why I entered medicine

As a family nurse practitioner, I saw many people struggle with preventable conditions like obesity and diabetes. I wanted to bridge the gap between medical care and everyday living by helping people not just manage disease but truly thrive. I’m passionate about making health accessible, understandable and meaningful.

Community involvement

I’ve participated in three medical mission trips to Haiti, providing primary care services and health education to underserved communities. These experiences deepened my commitment to global wellness and community-based care. Locally, I advocate for food sovereignty and nutrition education, teaching individuals and families how to grow their own food and use gardening as a tool for healing and connection.

Personal interests

When I’m not working with patients, you can usually find me in my garden, experimenting with permaculture design and growing nutrient-rich foods. I also enjoy exploring nature with my son, and integrating faith and creativity into everyday life.
