About

Philosophy of care

I treat every human being as an integrated system, addressing lifestyle, comorbidities and afflicted organ systems.

Why I entered medicine

My fascination with the amazing design of the human anatomy and every precious life inspired me to pursue a career in the very rewarding yet challenging field of medicine. In particular, discovering the intricacy and vulnerability of the immune system and all its effects on various organ systems made rheumatology my area of interest. In an era of accessible, targeted treatments based on specific immune cell production, it is an exciting and empowering time to practice as a rheumatologist. It is a true honor and privilege to help ameliorate pathology by reaching out to the patients most afflicted with autoimmune conditions, and in doing so including women's health and immunology as fields of relevance.

Community involvement

I do public speaking on arthritis awareness via the Queens Medical Society and Senior Center in Rego Park, Queens, N.Y. I also participate in short-term missions in a Manhattan church to distribute food supplies and meals during holiday occasions. I donate to the support of a youth ministry through Assemblies of God.

Personal interests

In my free time I enjoy piano, singing, cultural dance and poetry composition.
