Philosophy of care
I get to know each patient as an individual by listening, educating and working together as a team. Together we can develop the best short- and long-term treatments to improve and preserve your vision.
Why I entered medicine
I grew up in Canada as the daughter of two physicians; my father was an ophthalmologist and my mother an ER doctor. I came to the U.S. to attend Princeton University, where I majored in molecular biology. After college I worked in biotechnology and hold a patent on an enzyme used in DNA sequencing and PCR (polymerase chain reaction). I then entered medicine, specifically involving ophthalmology and glaucoma, where I blend my science and clinical interests to help people see.
